They’ve officially launched their EarthEn Heat Battery at RE+ Storage—a major step forward in industrial decarbonization.
Delivers 200–500°C industrial heat
Stores 4–12 hours of energy
Up to 90% round-trip efficiency
Containerized, modular, and easy to deploy
Provides backup power during outages
This system converts surplus renewable electricity into high-temperature steam or air, enabling decarbonization across hard-to-abate industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, textiles, and pulp & paper. It also captures waste heat to improve overall system efficiency.
Supported by DOE, NSF, LaunchTN, PEI, and CalSEED, EarthEn is demonstrating how early-stage innovation can scale real climate impact.
